Directions to Campus

From Columbia/Charleston

ATTENTION: I-385 North to Greenville is CLOSED (January 4, 2010 through August 15, 2010)
Recommended Route: I-26 W to I-85 S to I-385 N, then follow directions below.

I-26 West to I-385
Exit from I-26 onto I-385 to downtown. At the first major intersection past the Bi-Lo Center, turn left onto Church Street. Continue on Church Street over the bridge and up the hill to University Ridge. Turn right onto University Ridge at the BP Station and stay in the right lane as you pass County Square. Yield right onto Howe Street. Go down Howe until you arrive at the traffic circle where you will find the school’s entrance. If parking is unavailable in our lot, Public Safety will assist you.

From Spartanburg/Charlotte

I-85 South to I-385

From Anderson/Atlanta

I-85 North to I-185
Take the Downtown Greenville exit off I-85 onto I-185. This turns into Mills Avenue. Make a left at the third light onto Augusta Road. Take Augusta until you see the ballfield on your left then take a right onto University Street. Drive 300 degrees around the circle and into the Governor's School parking lot. If parking is unavailable in our lot, Public Safety will assist you.

From Easley

East on Highway 123
Hwy. 123 becomes Easley Bridge Road. Turn right onto Pendleton Street (124 East), which will curve to the left at a light (Pendleton Street Baptist Church will be on your left just after the curve). Pendleton Street becomes South Main Street and will come to a light at Augusta Street (20 South). Yield right onto Augusta and go one block. Take a left at University Street (Warehouse Theatre and Life is Good store on this corner). Go one block to the traffic circle where you will find the school’s entrance. If parking is unavailable in our lot, Public Safety will assist you.

From Pickens

South on Highway 183
Follow Hwy. 183 which becomes Cedar Lane Road, then Pete Hollis Boulevard. You’ll start to get into downtown and pass Gene’s Restaurant on your right. Take at right at the next light onto Academy Street. Continue on Academy Street across the bridge and get in your left lane. After the bridge, at the bottom of the hill, take a left onto Camperdown. Get in your right lane as you come to the first light and take a right onto River Street. Go straight through the next light and go one block. Take a left at University Street (Warehouse Theatre and Life is Good store on the left corners). Go one block to the traffic circle where you will find the school’s entrance. If parking is unavailable in our lot, Public Safety will assist you.

From Travelers Rest/Asheville

South on Highway 25
Hwy. 25 becomes Poinsett Highway and then Rutherford Street. After you enter the city limits and a few blocks past Stone Avenue, Rutherford Street curves to the left and eventually becomes North Street. Cross Academy, Main and Springs Streets (all with traffic lights) and turn right at the light onto Church Street (Christ Episcopal Church is on the far right corner). Continue on Church Street across the bridge and up a hill to University Ridge. Turn right onto University Ridge at the BP Station and stay in the right lane as you pass County Square. Yield right at the first crossover onto Howe Street. Go down Howe until you arrive at the traffic circle where you will find the school’s entrance. If parking is unavailable in our lot, Public Safety will assist you.
