Thank you for your hard work and dedication in the Admissions Process so far. Read below for additional information regarding how to prepare for your upcoming audition.
- Dance Auditions at University of South Carolina
Select Residential High School and Summer Dance applicants are invited to this audition. Be sure to reference your emailed invitation for the specific time of your audition and/or interview.
AUDITION PREPARATION
Be sure to review the audition requirements for the Residential High School or Summer Program. If you are applying to the Residential High School, you must bring a recording of the music for your solo. The recording can be in CD format, on an iPhone, or other digital formats.
AUDITION DAY SCHEDULE
12:00 - 12:30 pm: Registration
12:30 - 2:00 pm: Ballet Class
2:05 - 2:50 pm: Modern Class/Improvisation/Modern Session
3:00 - 3:30 pm: Solos and InterviewsARRIVAL
USC Dance Studios
324 Sumter Street, Columbia, SC 29208The building is located between Wheat Street and Whaley Street. On navigation apps, it is listed as the "Band and Dance" facility. Enter through the front of the venue. Signage will direct you to check-in, which will begin 30-minutes prior to the audition time.
PARKING
Metered parking spaces are located on the streets listed below. Guest parking is NOT available in the lots near the building, which require USC parking passes and are patrolled 24/7.

CANCELLATIONS
If an emergency arises and you cannot attend your audition, contact Mary Evington at 864.270.5339 or maryevington@scgsah.org. Indicate the student’s name and the type of emergency in your message. We will get back with you the next business day.

Spears Center for the Arts
1301 Columbia College Dr, Columbia, SC 29203Auditions will be held in the Spears Center for the Arts at Columbia College. Please park in Visitor Parking - Lot A at the intersection of Colonial Dr. and Columbia College Dr. You can see these locations on Columbia College's online map at ColumbiaSC.edu/map. Signage will direct you to check-in, and we encourage you to check-in 15 minutes before your assigned audition time.
